Saints 0 Brecon Corries 7.

The Saints lost heavily to the very impressive Corries outfit. The game started out with Brecon very much on top pinning the hosts into there own half. After 20 minutes of resolute defending and some fine goalkeeping, the deadlock was finally broke with the corries winger firing in from just inside the box. More Corries pressure saw them double there lead with a fine goal built on a couple of sharp one twos with an excellent finish. Credit to Hay they battled away for the rest of the half creating a couple of openings which just got away. HT 0-2.

The second half started in the same vain as the first with Corries well on top. After 10 mins it was 3, a fine cross into their big front man who rose highest to header in the roof of the net. Tired legs were now beginning to show with the corries not happy to sit back, scored another 4 unanswered goals in a ruthless performance. FT 0-7.

Today was a tough game but one we can learn a lot from. We won’t come across many teams as strong or well drilled as Brecon, it shows what level we need to aiming at. Big thanks to Corries for cleaning out their changing room, one less job to do!!!
