Bell 5 Sunday Saints 4.

The Saints suffered their first defeat in the league to Bells this morning. The half time score was 2-1 to Bells with Hay missing a hat full of chances in the first half, Wayne Evans scored the 1st goal with a quickly taken free kick. With several players missing The Saints struggled at the back and couldn’t find the net up the other end either with striker John Sly twice hitting the woodwork when through on goal. Centre half Nathan Morgan had to play in goal due all three keepers being unavailable. Bells were more dominant in the second half with their classy striker causing the Hay defence several problems. Hays other goals were scored by Dan Jones who impressed when brought on, an OG  and Wayne Evans got his second. Manager Gareth Ratcliffe said ” That was our worst performance of the season and if the boys want to win the league this season they need to play a lot better. I’ve asked fitness instructor Karl Warn to bring in the bleep test on thursday night”.   Final score Bells 5 Hay st marys 4.
