Ht 1-2

The second period saw us get on top and on the hour Jack Biggs headed in another Brendan Hackett corner to bring us back level at 2-2.

Although both teams looked for a winner in the 90 minutes neither could add to their tally so the game went into extra time.

Ft 2-2

We went ahead for the first time in the match in the opening period of extra time, a great assist by Hackett resulted in Biggs heading in our third which put us 3-2 ahead.

Substitute Nick Mumby brought back parity to the game when he added ‘Mulers’ third making the score 3-3 which is how it ended after 120 minutes of play.

As we all know penalties are a lottery but to the visitors credit they tucked theirs away while we didn’t, Abermule winning 4-2 after pens.

Good luck to Abermule in the next round.
