The First Team Go Top

The Saints First Team proudly sit on top of the league at the half way point of the year after today’s 4-3 win over Dyffryn Banw FC.

After going 0-1 down to a Banw goal against the run of play, we hit back with three goals before half time. Striker Matty Tong slotted home after good run down the left hand side by Brendan Hackett. Jack Evans then netted a quick fire double to see us lead 3-1 at the break.

Banw came out with all guns blazing at the start of the second half and ten minutes in they found themselves level at 3-3.

The winning goal came with around ten minutes to go. Right back Tom James who was finding plenty of space down the flanks whipped in a ball onto the head of top scorer Jack Biggs who made no mistake. 4-3

The last ten minutes were a bit nervy but Banw didn’t have any clear cut chances.

Ft 4-3
