The Saints went down 2-1 at league leaders Newcastle.
The home side opened the scoring in the 5th minute, Josh Wisniewski equalised early in the second half but with three minutes remaining and the Saints pushing for the winner it was Newcastle who went up the other end and scored the winning goal.
