The Saints won 2-1 in their first friendly against Bartestree on Thursday night.
Bartestree who have been promoted to the West Midland league this season proved a stern test for the new look Saints, goals from the returning Gavin Williams and Brendan Hackett secured the win, the visitors netted a late consolation.
The management team were full of praise for the performance against strong opposition, new keeper John Daw had a solid game between the sticks and youngster Stu Snedden had an excellent game on the night.
