The Saints won 0-2 yesterday in the Central Wales Cup after making the long trek to Llangedwyn. Manager Tom Weaver was very pleased with the result ” We had 5 eighteen year olds in the starting line up plus Jamie Howard making his first start of the season, I also had to put myself in goal” said Weaver.
Top scorer Kevin Jones opened the scoring early in the second half and winger Gavin Williams got the all important second with ten minutes to go.
Tom wanted a special mention for two of the youngsters, Wilf and Tom James who he thought did everything that was asked of them as did veteran(on the day) Jamie Howard.
I was told off a source the gaffer did well in goal although i’m slightly concerned that his new nickname is now “FLAPPER”..!
I was also told a bit of concerning news, youngster Lewis Pritchard crashed his car on the way back from the match but have since heard that everyone involved are okay.
