Weekend Fixtures.

Both sides are in action this weekend, the first team travel to Newbridge-On-Wye FC on Saturday, the following day The Sunday Saints host Belmont Wanders FC.

First team co manager Tom Weaver must feel like pulling his hair out, yet again several players are unavailable for the game. Missing from the Talgarth win are Phil Davies, Steve Goodwin, Rob Macnamara, Jack Biggs, Sam Powell and Stu Snedden, Weaver is waiting to hear if club captain Stu Davies has to work or not. Youngsters Adam Finn and Brendan Hackett are back after missing the last two games along with utility player Josh Davies. Johnny Daw and Jamie Howard are also called into the squad.

Weaver said “It would be nice to have the same squad two weeks in a row, we need to build on last weeks win, the league is very tight this year”.

Newbridge have drawn twice and lost once in three very tight games so far this season, it’s always been a tough place to go so we will have to play well to get anything from there.

On Sunday manager Gareth Jenkins is facing the same situation as Weaver with several players missing in what will be his sides toughest test to date.

Colan Badham(shoulder), Stuart Fiddes(knee), John Sly(leg), Phil Davies and Zac Snape(work) are all unavailable, Jake Atkinson and Phil Coombes come into the squad after missing last weekend.

Jenks said “I’m expecting a tough game against a likely top four side, hopefully we can put in another good performance and keep the run going”
