SUNDAY SAINTS BACK TO WINNING WAYS.

Gareth Jenkin’s men got back to winning ways with a comprehensive 2-10 victory over Welsh Club Colts FC.

The Gaffer rang the changes for this one, making use of his big squad.

Unfortunately the first half performance was well below par, they did go in at the break with a 1-3 lead with the goals coming from Zack Snape, John Sly and the manager himself but Jenks felt we had not been at our best although youngster Wilf Ratcliffe had impressed and linked up well with the strikers.

The second half we improved no end and dominated play adding seven more goals to the tally, Snape scored two more to claim a hat-trick, as did Sly, captain Liam Pugh scored a penalty and Craig Forsyth added two more to his seasons total making the final score 2-10.

Jenks was full of praise for the veteran Nathan Morgan and hat-trick hero Snape but his man of the match went to striker John Sly.

Jenks added “We got the job done but the performance will have to be much better next week when we travle to Prem side Barrells FC in the cup”.
