Rob McNamara who has now netted 6 goals in his last 3 games.

The Saints were poor today so it was more a point gained than two lost, the visitors saw two players red carded, Alec Winstone on 90 minutes and Joe Mayglothling after the final whistle.

Presteigne were out of the blocks quick in this one, pushing us back deep into our own half, they had a couple of half chances but nothing to really shout home about. It wasn’t long before they did open the scoring through midfielder Danny Ives, he tapped in after the ball came back off the post 0-1.

We struggled to get going but just three minutes after going behind Rob McNamara beat a man and rifled one in from 20 yards out to make it 1-1.

Presteigne deservedly went back ahead after Callum Matthews cut a ball back into the box and debut striker Chris Jones finished well from 12 yards out for 1-2.

On the half hour mark McNamara with nowhere to go hit a 25 yard rocket past the stranded Simon Hamer for 2-2, with no more chances for either side the score at half time was 2-2.

At the start of the second half the visitors missed two good chances, the best chance fell to former Saint Brian Dyer who blasted over unmarked from 6 yards out, more Presteigne pressure followed and when one attack broke down a route one kick from Josh Davies saw Brendan Hackett flicking the ball on to Jack Biggs who rounded Hamer to put the Saints 3-2 up.

Jack Biggs was on the score sheet today after missing the last two games through injury.

On 65 minutes it was 3-3, a high ball into the box was flicked on to Matthews who headed past Davies, there was a big shout for offside but our sub to his credit kept his flag down.

The home side had their best spell after this and had a couple of chances the best falling to McNamara but his stretched effort was saved by Hamer.

At the death another former Saint Alec Winstone was shown a second yellow card for something he said to the referee, then yet another ex Saint Joe Mayglothing was a shown a straight red after the final whistle for comments made to referee Eddie Pryce.
