Two goals and two assists for Player Manager Gareth Jenkins.

The game started with the wind blowing a gale making it difficult for both sides to pass the ball around. The Saints dominated throughout the first half  but found it difficult to break down a stubborn Toros defence who seemed to put in a last ditch block every time we got through on goal. The deadlock was finally broken when top scorer Craig Forsyth scored at the far post in the 32nd minute.

Two minutes later it was 2-0,this time Forsyth  was the provider when he crossed to player manager Gareth Jenkins who headed in from 8 yards out. Just before half time it was a role reversal, a Jenkins corner was headed in by Forsyth to give the homeside a 3-0 comfortable lead.

When the visitors had tried to counter attack they were not given an inch, Liam Pugh, Steve Jones, Sam Bradley and Harry Ratcliffe in the Saints defence stood firm throughout the half.

The second half saw the visitors start the brighter with the slight wind advantage, Michael Ward pulled off a couple of good saves from long range efforts. The Sunday Saints went 4-0 up in the 50th minute, Ben Bevan sent a looping header over the stranded keeper from a Jenkins cross. The hard working Wilf Ratcliffe had to leave the field after taking a heavy knock to his ankle and was replaced by ex Toros player Nathan Heighway.

Bevan then turned provider, a free kick was awarded for a foul on Jenkins and from that cross Stu Davies headed powerfully through a crowded box to it 5-0.

Jenkins got his brace after being released on the left and cutting in and curling a shot into the far corner for 6-0.Toros finally netted a consolation goal late on, their striker tapping in after the first effort came back off the post. The final goal was scored by youngster Harry Ratcliffe after he was set up by Kevin Jones.

Ft Sunday Saints 7 Toros FC 1.

This was a comfortable win in the end against a side who have been doing well in the league. The whole team played well but I would give the man of the match to the Gaffer, 2 goals and 2 assists on the day.
