The Saints have gone top of the league after winning 0-4 at Talgarth Town FC.
Goal scorers were Josh Davies, Stuart Davies, Matt James and Brendan Hackett.
The Saints dominated the game from the off but struggled to break down a stubborn Talgarth defence, we were also sloppy in our build up play. The breakthrough came in the 35th minute, a cross from defender Tom James was bravely headed in at the back post by Josh Davies. 0-1
A well worked Brendan Hackett corner on 39 minutes saw captain Stu Davies head us into a 0-2 interval lead.
Playing down the slope in the second half it was wave after wave of Saints attack but to their credit the young Talgarth side stuck to it and refused to lay down, the third goal came after Matt James cut in from the right, he jinked past three players before drilling the ball into the bottom corner of the net.
The final goal came with 82 minutes on the clock, a Talgarth player got robbed of the ball by Hackett who raced away and scored from 16 yards out. Ft 0-4
We were sloppy in the first half, far too casual in our build up play, it took a route one ball to open the scoring and to get us going, to our credit we dominated the whole game. Everyone did their job tonight, Jordan Baker did well against his old side, Josh Davies, Brendan Hackett stood out but the gaffer chose Tom James as man of the match for not putting a foot wrong all night.
