The Sunday Saints went down 1-4 to league leaders Vaga FC.
This was always going to be a tough encounter for the Sunday Saints against title favorites and league leaders Vega FC.
Vega took a while to get into their stride which was a credit to the Saints team who dug in deep, however, some neat Vega passing led to their first goal.
Their second soon followed when a well struck free-kick left Tom Bevan with no chance in the home sides goal.
Older Brother Ben Bevan then gave Hay some hope with a close range effort finding its way past the visiting custodian. Ht 1-2.
The second half saw Vega close the game out by showing their quality and scoring a further two goals. A 50/50 challenge involving defender Harry Radcliffe led to the game being abandoned after 74 minutes due to the seriousness of the injury. It was confirmed later that Harry had broken his ankle.
