Awards Night.

Last night our annual awards evening was held at the Swan Hotel in Hay.

After a three course meal Chairman Martin Tong thanked the sponsors and all the people who have helped the club enjoy a successful season on and off the pitch. There are not many clubs from a small town that can boast 3 senior teams, 1 ladies team and around a dozen junior sides which in total is well over 200 members.

The commitment this year has been second to none, with the likes of Stu Rees travelling up from Swansea to TRAIN every week, Tom James travelling back from Uni to help our promotion push, captain Stu Davies swapping shifts week in week out to play.

Off field vice chairman Nathan Heighway standing all day in the cold outside the Co-op selling raffle tickets which helped raise several hundred pounds for the club. Chris Preece and Dai Arrowsmith emptying the recycling bins week in week out. The club couldn’t run without this type of commitment.

Next season will see us ply our trade in the Spar League division 1, the ladies will be entering a league for the first time. Once again the juniors will have TWO under 16’s side. Those who train regularly will have seen the talent that is coming through from last seasons u16’s, well if you think they are good the next batch are even better having just done the league and cup double under the guidance of Steve Huddleston.

If you can help out in anyway please come along to the AGM at the Saints Bar on TUESDAY at 7pm.

Sorry if some people were missed in the photos last night.
