This weekend sees The First Team in a double header on Saturday league leaders Knighton Town FC visit Forest Road and then on Monday Carno FC are back at Forest Road this time for a league fixture.

The Reserves are without a game as are the Saints Ladies and The Sunday Saints.

Saturday

Saints First Team v Knighton Town FC  k.o. 2.30pm.

The Gaffer had this to say “Knighton have a lot of experienced players in their squad, lads who have played league of Wales football and in The Cymru Alliance. The league will be won by either them or Penrhyncoch, it looks like it will go to the wire so we could have a big say in where the title goes having to play them both”.

He went on to say “We beat them earlier in the season but they had a few of their current squad unavailable that night, saying that we played very well except for the last five minutes when we went to sleep and conceded two goals. If we play like we did against Carno FC last Sunday Knighton will be in for a serious test so we need to be on our game from the off. We have reached one final and are still in three other cups so it’s been a good season to date”.

Vice captain Jordan Baker is out injured, new signing Sebastian Buba is added to the squad.
