Weekend Fixtures

The First Team get the weekend off to a start on Friday evening with yet another home game against Brecon Northcote FC. We won the first game 3-1 and they won the second 1-3, this time we meet in the league cup.

The Reserves host Presteigne Reserves on Saturday in a Mid Wales South fixture.

‘The Sunday Saints’ are also home when they host Burgill FC.

Team news to follow –

This is the third meeting between the two sides this season and all on Friday nights. Both games so far have been entertaining with the teams winning one each. Jenks had this to say ”Northcote are a really good footballing side and I have been impressed with they way they press and play with bags of enery. We are expecting another tough game and we all know the effort we have to put in to reach the next round”.

He went on to say ”We started really poor against Presteigne last Friday and know that it was’nt good enough. The second half we were much better and got on top of the game. Their winning goal was a great strike from 25 yards but we had three chances to clear the ball and the opportunity could have been avoided. We have to start much better as a team and be more focussed, hopefully we can put in a big performance under the lights and progress to round two”.

Will be without Chris Preece (injured), Ceri Ward (away) and Kiegan Powell (work)

Squad: Steve Jones, Adam Finn, Jamie Howard, Harry Ratcliffe, Callum Maddy, Will Goodwin, Wilf Ratcliffe, Tom Pavey, Jordan Bailey, Kevin Jones, Adi Lawford, Harry Gilbert, Darren Horrigan, Tom Landon, Matty Tong and Richard Meredith
