This Saturday sees the return to Spar league action at home against current Spar Mid Wales league leaders: Penparcau. The last time we met it was a thrilling contest in the League Cup away where the Saints ultimately ended up as winners after a nailbiting penalty shoot out. Kevin Jones had a lively hattrick and Josh Wiz had scored twice in normal and extra time making it 5-5. The now to be known as “famous five” took the penalties perfectly. Kevin, Josh Davies, Wiz, Becksy and Wes Evans and it was left for Becksy to save their 5th penalty to win us the game.
“All in all we expect that our visitors will be aiming to avenge that cup defeat. We need to be focussed on our game plan and ensure that we get rid of the silly mistakes that have cost us in the past as these are vital league points against very good opposition.” said manager Fil Wiz.
The squad is still looking to Gavin Williams for a late fitness test, otherwise it is as it was for the postponed mid week fixture.
