Llanidloes Town beat The Saints 1-0 with a goal in the 10th minute from former Newtown striker Barry Bellis.
The first half was very poor from both sides with Bellis’ 10th minute goal the only shot on target in the first half.
Llanidloes were the better side in the second half and The Saints had keeper Stephen Price to thank after pulling off several one on one top quality saves to keep the tie alive but it just wasn’t our night, the closest we came to scoring was a Stu Davies header from a free kick which went over the bar.
A lackluster display in my opinion, once again Becksy was outstanding , Wes Evans, Phil Davies and Josh Davies also had good games. I can’t remember us ever going the whole 90 minutes without a shot on goal as we did tonight!
