The Saints came away from Fownhope with all three points after an outstanding second half performance.

The visitors played with the strong wind in the first half and struggled to use their passing game with the ball running away time and time again in the gale like conditions. Manager Sean Hackett must have been very concerned at half time after his side only had a slender o-1 lead thanks to a Jake Atkinson strike from the edge of the box in the 40th minute. The Saints missed a host of chances throughout the first half, the returning Bryan Kirkham was mainly a spectator in the Saints goal but did pull off one good save after 30 minutes which  saw the ball swerve from side to side before the big keeper dealt with it.

Hackett expressed his unhappiness at the first half performance during the break to his team.

The Saints came out in the second like a different team and within two minutes found themselves 0-2 up when Josh Davies headed in his first goal of the season. Davies soon made it three when he rifled in the goal of the game from the edge of the eighteen yard box. Striker Josh Wisniewski then netted himself a brace, the first a turn and shot in the box the second a header from a Graeme Keeble free kick, Fownhope went close with a free kick but Kirkham it tipped around the post at full stretch after seeing it late. Davies netted the sixth and last goal to claim himself a hat trick on the day ft 0-6.

Manager Sean Hackett was very happy after the game, mainly due to the second half performance especially the way the lads played into the strong wind, he thought Stu Davies had a solid game at the back Bryan, Kirkham did well when called upon, Josh Davies who he critised at half time responded with style with a hat trick but Sean thought his central midfield pairing of Sam Powell and Jake Atkinson were his men of the match.
