It was the Saints who scored the next goal after a rare attack they were awarded a free kick out on the right, Graeme Keeble crossed into the area and former Saints keeper Simon Hamer fumbled the ball, Josh Davies reacted the quickest and fired in the equaliser from close range for 1-1.Kington saw a lot of the ball in the remainder of the half but never really tested their former keeper Bryan Kirkham although Stu Davies had to make a last ditch tackle to prevent striker James Williams scoring . The second half once again saw Kington seeing a lot of the ball with the Saints looking dangerous on the break, John Daw had to make an excellent tackle to prevent Penrose grabbing his second up the other end Jack Biggs went close but Hamer saved well.

The visitors went ahead in the 53rd minute when a corner was flicked on for the impressive Brian Dyer to head home. At this stage it looked like Kington would go on to win it but for some good defending by Preece, Keeble, Davies and Bradley plus keeper Kirkham pulled off two excellent saves to keep the homeside in with a chance.

That chance came in the 75th minute Tom Weaver passed the ball out wide to winger Brendan Hackett who then beat his marker and whipped a ball across the six yard box which was met by the oncoming Biggs who finished to make it 2-2 with fifteen minutes to go.

Kington went searching for the winner, Russ Jones should of done better but fired his effort over the bar, a Joe Mayglothling free kick hit the wall and Dyer saw his shot go inches over the bar. The sucker punch came with just a couple of minutes to go, Hackett robbed an advancing defender on the halfway line then turned and ran at goal skipping by the centre half before hitting a low drive from 16 yards out past the diving Hamer to make it 3-2, shortly after the referee blew up for the final whistle. Ft 3-2.
