The Dod Defeated.

The Saints pulled off an impressive win today by beating Llandrindod Wells 2-1.

Having spoke with “The Gaffer” Tom Weaver, to say he was happy with the result and more importantly the performacnce would be an understatement.

The Saints went ahead after Will Green handled on the line and was shown a straight red, Rob Snedden scored to put the Saints 1-0 up, more Saints pressure saw Sam Bradley get a second and the cushion of a 2-0 lead. Llandrindod pulled a goal back late on after a deflected shot found the back of the net.

Weaver was impressed with the performance from so many youngsters, with Kevin Jones suspended and Captain Chris Preece starting on the bench many supporters thought there would only be one winner. “We were superb throught the 90 minutes, we dominated for long spells but they put us under pressure in the last 15 minutes” said Weaver, ” Llandod are a very good side and should get promoted along with Llanfair”.

I’ve had many different texts and man of the match choices by committee members and mates, Will Goodwin was mentioned several times as was his brother Steve, the returning Rob Snedden was also mentioned a few times, however, the two in charge gave it to Sam Bradley.
