Saints 2 Builth Wells 2

After a cautious start from both teams it was Builth who took the lead in the 15th minute after Tom Brown crossed and Willie Lindsey headed down for Kevin Lewis to finish from close range. Within 5 minutes the Saints were level after Rob Snedden released Ollie Cooke down the left,Cooke rounded his marker and cut the ball back for Kevin Jones to beat stand in keeper Simon Edwards. For the remainder of the half Builth had the better chances but found Bryan Kirkham in inspired form once again. HT 1-1

Hay started the second half a bit brighter and were awarded a free kick on the edge of the area after a trip on Jones, Snedz made no mistake from 20 yards beating the stranded Edwards to make it 2-1. Builth attacked from the kick off and within a couple of minutes it was 2-2 when a Lindsey cross was met at the far post by an unmarked Lewis for his second. The rest of the game was the Saints pressing and Builth counter attacking and again Kirkham came to the rescue on a couple of occasions. The Saints strike force was well marked all night with Lee James having a very good game for them. The final whistle went with the score 2-2.

The wind stopped both sides playing their passing game and perhaps 2-2 was a fair result with the Saints having more possession but Builth having the better scoring chances. Man of th match in my opinion would once AGAIN go to Bryan Kirkham who made some great saves on the night.
