The Saints lost 3-0 last night to a very experienced Moorfield side who included a couple of Westfield first team players. The Saints were losing 1-0 at half-time after keeper Ian Davies had made a string of fine saves to keep them in the tie. The second half was simualar with Moorfields quality showing all over the pitch and with 70 gone the Saints were 3-0 down. Hay’s best chance came when sub Graeme Keeble headed the ball down for manager Gareth Ratcliffe who chipped the keeper but the ball hit the post.
The lads battled all the way but found themselves up against a quality team last night. The man of the match for me would have to be Ian Davies but Zac Snape pushed him all the way.
