The Sunday Saints have lost their first game of the season going down 3-2 at Ledbury Allstars and in doing so are out of the HFA Sunday cup.

Having spoke with the Gaffer he thought his side gave Ledbury a good game considering three players didn’t turn up(Harris’ fault), also we lost midfielder Lloyd Holland to a back injury.
Jenks said “We started slow and before we knew it we were 2-0 down after 12 minutes, the first goal was a shocking decision by the referee who awarded a pentaly” He went on to say “The boys then put in a lot of effort and we got it back to 2-2 before the home side grabbed what turned out to be the winner in the 80th minute, Jake Atkinson and Wilf Ratcliffe stood out but my man of the match was Steve Jones”.
After the game Ledbury’s manager said we were the best side they had faced this season which was good to hear but Jenks thought we have played better in other games and on another day we would of won. He wants a big performance next weekend when we travel to Commercial FC.
