Llandrindod Wells 0 Saints 0.

This was the Saints fourth game in 8 days and it told with a lot of the team looking tired. Llandod who had played the same games in that time also looked tired and it wasn’t the best of matches. Hay started the first 10 minutes the brighter without really causing a great deal of pressure on the Llandod goal, Chris Preece did connect with a header from a Gavin Williams corner but his effort went over the bar. It was Llandod who then controlled the remainder of the half and the Saints had Bryan Kirkham to thank for keeping them in the game he saved several one on one chances to take the Saints in 0-0 at half time.

The second half was much the same with the home side on top and the Saints hitting them on the break. Kirkham was again the hero when Mike Havard was harshly penalised for a slight nudge on a Llandod striker and the referee awarded a penalty. Kirkham saved the shot and Phil Davies cleared it to safety. Up the other end Rob Snedden went close when perhaps should of done better and Gavin Williams also hit the post after a jinking run into the box. Llandrindod never really looked like scoring even when put through one on one because Kirkham was inspirational form all day. FT Llandrindod Wells 0 Saints 0.

Today the Saints looked tired,it looked one game to many in such a short time, also Kevin Jones was missing and we missed his hold up play and strength. The man of the match award is easy with Bryan Kirkham making numerous saves including a penalty, he also caught every cross with ease. 10/10 Kirks………
