The Saints went 1-0 up early in the game with a goal from player manager Gareth Jenkins, after that to the Colts credit they dug in and defended well for 30 minutes and it took a Lloyd Holland 25 yard volley which flew into the top corner after a slight deflection to make it 2-0. Ht 2-0

Steve Goodwin made 3-0 early in the second half striking another volley, this time from a corner. Captain Liam Pugh was next on the score sheet when he hit a long range effort which took a wicked deflection to make it 4-0. Lloyd Holland had to leave the field after a nasty knee injury, his knee cap dislocated.

The next three goals were scored by Jenkins to make his personal tally four for the match and the final score 7-0.

The visiting keeper made numerous saves throughout including a penalty save from striker Nathan Heighway.

I spoke with the gaffer today and he was full of praise for the two new youngsters he has signed Hallum Prendergast who caused problems down the right all game and Aaron Gilligan who showed some real nice touches when he came on, also the defence who kept another clean sheet.  Jenks chose Hallum Prendergast as man of the match.
