Saints 9 Llandrindod Colts 0.

The Saints clinched the runner spot in the final game of the season after an excellent team performance against Llandrindod Colts.

Llandrindod Colts frustrated the Saints for 20 minutes and could of took the lead on 12 minutes when a breakaway move left their striker one on one but again like so many times this season Bryan Kirkham pulled off a great save. In the opening exchanges Stuart Davies headed over the bar from a corner,Steve Jenkins headed a chance wide and Kevin Jones blasted over when in a good position. Jenkins did open the scoring in the 20th minute to the relief of the Saints supporters and players, a few minutes later it was 2 when Tom Weaver finished well from the edge of the box. Striker and top scorer Kevin Jones then got in on the act by scoring goals 47 and 48 in the league, his second after a great move involving Rob Snedden and Michael Ward. HT 4-0.

Kevin Jones soon got the 2 goals he needed to win the leagues top scorer award, Garry Kebble set Jones up for the goal which received the biggest cheer of the night,Jones then left the field due to not feeling well. Rob Snedden scored goal 7 followed by Weaver getting his second, it was left to Snedz to round off the nights scoring and make the final score 9-0 to the Saints.

A great team performance and great to see the lads helping set Joey up to get the four goals he needed. There were plenty of people who could push for the man of the match award, Kevin for his 4 goals, Sam and Garry for their non stop running and tackling but this one I’m giving to the team for a superb team performance all round.
