The Saints beat visitors Churchstoke FC 7-1 this afternoon with Brendan Hackett leading the way with a hat-trick, other goalscorers were striker Rob McNamara(2), Phil Davies and Josh Davies.
Once again we started fast playing some lovely one touch football and within 3 minutes Brendan Hackett put us 1-0 up after a cut back from Jack Biggs. In the fifth minute we were awarded a free kick some 25 yards out and for the second week running Hackett hit the target to make it 2-0.
Before the visitors could settle we were 3-0 up in the 14th minute, Josh Davies side footing in a cross from the right. One minute later it was nearly 4 after Matt James beat three men on a mazy run but his shot went inches wide.
Churchstoke changed formation and settled after this, the Saints were still on top and had several chances to add to their tally but some wayward finishing kept the score at 3-0 until the 30th minute when Phil Davies scored a good goal after cutting in from the right.
Just before half-time Hackett scored his third for a hat-trick and made the half time score 5-0.

We took our foot off the pedal after the break and became a bit sloppy for the next 20 minutes allowing Churchstoke to pull a goal back through leading scorer Tony Meredith, the striker netted from the spot after being brought down by captain Jordan Baker.
Rob McNamara made it 6-1 and then added another within a few minutes after an exquisite ball from Hackett, McNamara volleyed it in first time.
Another great team performance, once again the front men will get all the headlines but the back three were solid today, Jake, Jordan and Tom hardly gave the visitors front three a sniff. Sponsors man of the match Brendan Hackett.
