The Saints Reserves beat Rhayader Town Reserves 2-4 tonight at The Weirglodd.
Striker Josh Wisniewski led the way with a hat-trick, Tom Wilkes netted the other.
Against the run of play the Saints led 0-2 at half time through a Wisniewski double. The striker scored his third just after the break, to the home sides credit they fought back with two quick goals to make it a nervy few minutes until Wilkes gave us some breathing space with a fourth. Wisniewski missed a penalty but it didn’t matter as Andrew Harris and Liam Pugh’s side are now undefeated in six.
Harris was full of praise for his side, he thought Wisniewski was superb in netting a hat-trick, Tom Weaver and Steve Jones had big games and youngster Darren Horrigan never stopped running all night, the whole team battled for 90 minutes to get the three points.
