The Saints u16’s drew 2-2 this morning at Brecon Corries.
The Corries took the lead in the 4th minute when a through ball wasn’t cut out, their striker finishing well at the back post.
In the 22nd minute Callum Maddy beat two men and crossed to striker Matty Tong who saw his effort trickle over the line after what looked like a save from the keeper. 1-1.
The second half saw the Saints dominate, Ricky Limes scored a great individual goal to put us 1-2 up in the 6oth minute. Numerous chances were wasted, saved and blocked on the line, a big talking point came in the 75th minute when Tong’s shot came off the post and Levi Phillips knocked in the rebound, the home linesman flagged for offside when Phillips ran past two Corries players who were prone on the floor!
In the last minute a ball over the top was missed and the Saints were punished when the number 9 rounded the keeper and scored.
