Sunday Saints Defeated.

Cosmos 3-1 Hay

The kick off to the Saints match at Cosmos FC was delayed for ten minutes due to a Boeing 747 Aircraft being towed through the city centre.

When the kick off eventually took place on the Hereford academy pitch, the Saints started the brighter of the two sides. In the 10th minute Craig Forsyth latched on to a volley to put the visitors 0-1 up.

Just before the break Cosmos striker Will Hooper ran through the Hay defence and finished well from close range leaving Tom Bevan stranded in the Saints goal. Ht 1-1

The second half became a scrappy affair which was not helped when some Saints players started moaning and arguing between each other instead of encouraging team mates to do better. This attitude did not help and to make matters worse captain Matt Pugh’s back pass was put wide of Ben Bevan in the Hay goal and found the bottom corner of the net which put the vistors 2-1 down.

With not long left Cosmo’s Jake Gummery scored a peach of a goal from 20 yards out, he curled the ball into the top left hand corner ensuring all three points for his side. Ft 3-1
