All 3 senior sides are in action this weekend, the u16’s game at Rhayader has been cancelled due to the home side struggling to get a referee.
The first team head to Spar 1 side Montgomery Town FC in the second round of the league cup whilst the reserves play host to inform Knighton Town Reserves. The Sunday Saints have a home league game after several weeks on the road, they will host title favourites Vaga FC.
First Team Manager Gareth Jenkins had this to say “I am expecting a tough game against Montgomery due them being a Spar 1 side. They have made 3 new signings in Tony Meredith, Elliot Jones and Mark Probert. Monty recently beat Rhosgoch 5-0 who are a very good team. It will be a good test for us and a nice distraction from the league”. He went on to say “We didn’t play at our best last weekend and just did enough to scrape the win. The players attitudes to fight until the end was encouraging. Hopefully we can up our game and on last weeks performance and cause an upset”.
The Gaffer will be without Adi Lawford(ankle),Rob Snedden(ankle) and Matt James will have a late fitness test. Phil Davies who is now on the long term injury list while he waits to see a specialist has been appointed assistant manager for the rest of the season.

Reserve team manager Andrew Harris welcomes back Tom Weaver from suspenison, also back after missing the Talgarth game are Dan Jones, Kevin Goodwin, Dave Jones and top scorer Darren Horrigan. 16 year old Callum Maddy retains his place in the squad after impressing the gaffer on his debut. Knighton will be a big test as they are on a 12 game unbeaten run which has moved them up the table in touching distance of the Saints.
