Great news as Kirks went up to rehab on Thursaday in Birmingham and as he is progressing so well they let him come home until Monday morning. He then goes back to Birmingham for the week where he has got a full week of rehab with all those nice looking female physios.
Gaynor and I went over to Kington to see him this afternoon after the football match against Lads Club. He looks fantastic and was chatting away like the Kirks of old. He was recalling things that had happened in Aberystwyth after the Bont game so his memory is coming back well now.
When he got to Birmingham he was assessed by the specialist who asked him to push him to see how strong he was and apparently he nearly pushed him over. Kirks was proud about that. When they said he could come home his first thought was that he could sleep again in his own bed which he said was heaven. He is now keen to get on with his physio and build his strength up again. He just wants to keep himself from getting bored as he feels good in himself but cannot do alot.
It was fantastic to see him with his dad and mum Paul and Lynn and Kirks’ girlfriend Anna being able to relax together at home. And the best bit about it all was how well he looked.
