SAINTS 3 LLANDRINDOD COLTS 0.

The Saints reached The League Final for the first time in their history after defeating Llandod Colts 3-0.

The Saints had The Colts on the back foot from the off but found it hard to break down a stubborn Colts defence early on. The opening goal came when Kevin Jones miscued his shot and it fell to strike partner Josh Wisniewski who finshed well from 10 yards 0-1. It was that man Wisniewski again who made it 2-0 this time latching on to a Rob Snedden pass and again finishing from around 10 yards out. ht 2-0.

The second half The Colts came into the game a bit more and could have got on the scoresheet when first Dave Caufield hit a 35 yard free kick which came back off the crossbar and then sub Peter Baker could and should of done better at the back post with a free header with the goal at his mercy but headed over. Kevin Jones finished the game off as a contest when sub Tom Wilks threaded an inch perfect ball through for him to score past stand in keeper Dan Davies 3-0. Llandod then had a player sent off for a disgraceful cowardly punch when the game had been stopped by the ref for a foul to HAY! The final whistle went for a deserved victory and a another match in the final against local rivals Gwernyfed on May 4th at Builth Wells.

A poor performance overall due to a few hangovers on the day but a victory in the end is what counts.
