The Saints picked up 3 more valuable points with a comortable victory at Radnor and with Gwernyfed drawing at Llandrindod things couldn’t have gone better.
The Saints were 0-1 up after 2 minutes when Ben Bevan released striker Kevin Jones who squared the ball for strike partner Josh Wisniewski to finish well from 10 yards, just 4 minutes later it was 0-2, Wisniewski heading in a K.Jones corner for his second. Radnor defended well against wave after wave of Saints attacks, the third Saints goal came when right back Russel Jones played a through ball to K.Jones who then again set his partner Wisniewski up for his hat-trick on 31 minutes. ht 0-3.
It was more of the same in the 2nd half with Radnor defending deep and The Saints trying to break them down and on 55 minutes Wisniewski got another goal finishing off from Joe Mayglothling’s corner, on 59 minutes it was 0-5 after a good save by the home keeper from an Ollie Cooke shot Wisniewski reacted the quickest and finished well from close range. Substitute Tom Wilks played a lovely throughball for K.Jones who cracked home a right footer from the edge of the area for 0-6, in the 71st minute R.Jones crossed into the box and midfielder J.Mayglothling headed a beauty of a goal into the top corner of the net. With 5 minutes to go referee Colin Bagley awarded The Saints a penalty which K.Jones took and scored for his second of the game, the referee ended the game with the score Radnor 0 Saints 8.
A very good performance all round from the lads, we’ve strugged in the past at Radnor but yesterday took control right from the start and made sure of the points.
I thought everyone played well especially Russ Jones against his former club, also Kevin Jones with 2 goals and 3 assists but my man of the match goes to Josh Wisniewski who is back doing what he does best, sticking the ball in the back of the net!
