The Saints put in a poor performance this afternoon but still managed a 2-0 win against Tywyn Bryncrug FC.
We were very poor in the first half, our visitors closed us down at pace, stopping us playing every time we got the ball. Top scorer Jack Biggs had to leave the field of play after a challenge from centre back Paul Grant in the 15th minute.
Adi Lawford came on and started causing problems with his pace, however, chances for both sides were few and far between.

In the second half the visitors had a big shout for a penalty waved away when defender Steve Goodwin clipped their strikers heel sending him tumbling but the referee waved play on.
Captain Brendan Hackett played in Steve Morgan and was screaming for the ball back, instead Morgan hit a 25 yard screamer to break the deadlock. 1-0
Tywyn started to tire and from a Hackett corner Matt Croose’ downward header found Rob Snedden who jinked past a defender before firing in the second goal 2-0.
Youngster Callum Maddy came on and nearly scored with his first touch, the Tywyn then made a couple of more good saves late on to deny us another goal.

We seemed flat from the word go, but again gained another 3 points against a very hard working Tywyn Bryncrug side, I felt there was no way they could keep pressing for 90 minutes like they were earlier on. This was proven right as we wore them down in the last 20 minutes.
The downside of the day being top scorer Jack Biggs could be out for a few weeks with a knee injury.
Sponsors man of the match was Adi Lawford who did very well when he came on, however, special mention to Rob Snedden whose work rate and goal was outstanding.
