The Saints are through to the Semi-Final of The League Cup after beating Montgomery Town FC 3-1.
Goal scorers were Rob Snedden(2) and Steve Goodwin.
Monty scorer was James Langford.

Montgomery came to Forest Road on the back of two wins, however, the first fifteen minutes saw us peg them back having numerous corners cleared by the visitors.
The breakthrough came in the 19th minute, a Rob Snedden shot from the edge of the area took a slight deflection off a ‘Monty’ defender causing goalkeeper Steve Goodwin to get caught flat footed as the ball flew past him. 1-0.
The rest of the half saw us have more of the ball and chances but the visitors looked dangerous on the break and looked a much more organised side than when we beat them comfortable in the league a few weeks ago.

The second half saw ‘Monty’ come more into the game, in the 59th minute they were awarded a corner which keeper Steve Jones had to tip over the bar at full stretch. The next corner found it’s way to James Langford who shot on the turn into the bottom corner past the diving Jones. 1-1
The goal of the game came in the 65th minute, defender Tom James took a quick thrown in to Brendan Hackett who chested it back to James, the full back then sent a deep cross to the back back which was met with a bullet of a header from Steve Goodwin giving his name sake no chance. 2-1
Goodwin(Monty) made a brilliant save from Matt James, Hackett saw his shot come off the bar which was then volleyed wide by youngster Callum Maddy with his first touch of the game.
Maddy had an assist in the third goal which was scored by Snedden in the 82nd minute, his 11th goal of the season.
Ft 3-1.
Not the best of games but we are through to another semi-final where we will face Knighton Town FC who won 7-0 against Aberaeron FC. We’ve not had a date for the tie yet once I know I will put it on here.
