The Saints put in a lacklustre performance tonight and deservedly lost to Llandrindod Wells FC 1-2 in the quarter final of The Radnorshire Cup.

‘Llandod’ scorers were Robbie Nichols and Elliot Williams.
Robbie Nichols opened the scoring in the 25th minute with a strike from nearly 30 yards out after a slow opening period from both sides.
Llandrindod saw more of the ball in the first half but never really looked like adding to their tally. We huffed and puffed but were pressed very well by the visitors. Brendan Hackett did go around the keeper but his shot was cleared off the line by a defender.
Our best period of the game was the opening 15 minutes of the second half. In the 48th minute a Rob Snedden through ball found Hackett who finished well from 12 yards out. 1-1.
I thought we would up the tempo and go on to win but to their credit Llandod got back on top around the 60 minute mark and we struggled to get out of our own half.
They had several shots from distance, Nichol again was the main tormentor. We nearly went ahead in the 72nd minute from a corner, after a goal mouth melee Llandod finally cleared the ball to safety.
In the 89th minute a back pass was pounced upon by Elliot Williams, the youngster continued his goal scoring form of late by finishing past a diving Jordan Baker to net a deserved winner on the night.
