Goal scorer Josh Wisniewski.

Josh Wisniewski opened the scoring after 5 minutes with a 20 yard curling effort which must be up there as one of the best he has scored this season. The rest of the first half was poor in quality with the homeside guilty of overplaying it. Llanfyllin just looked to hit long balls over the top which were dealt with by the classy Chris Preece, Kevin Jones had a couple of chances to add to the 1-0 tally but at half time the score was 1-0.

The second half saw three more Saints goals, the first from Jones after a good move involving Stephen Price and Mike Havard, Jones placing a right foot shot in the corner of the net to make it 2-0. Ten minutes later it was 3-0 when Prices’ right wing cross was headed in by Jones from 7 yards out. Price was also involved in the last goal when his free kick came back off the wall and fell to midfielder Mike Havard  some 25 yards out, Havard hit it first time and saw his effort fly into the net to make the final score 4-0.

Not the best of games to watch if I’m honest but 3 more points which moved us up a couple of places in the league. My man of the match was Chris Preece who never put a foot wrong all game, not bad considering he’s still carrying a knock!

Team- Wes Evans, Dan Jones, Chris Preece (Gareth Jenkins), Sam Bradley, Stu Davies(c), Tom Weaver, Mike Havard, Stephen Price, Steve Goodwin (Will Goodwin), Kevin Jones, Josh Wisniewski. Unused Sub Toby Johnson.
