Hay beat current league leaders Llandrindod wells 3-2 in the first round of the Radnorshire cup. A large crowd watched an end to end tie which neither side deserved to lose. Hay opened the scoring when a Phil Davies cross was met at the far post by Rob snedden who volleyed in to make it 1-0. Davies made it 2-0 just before half time,Gary keeble sent a through ball splitting the Llandod defence and Davies finished well. (HT 2-0)
The second half was end to end until Ollie Cooke put Snedden in on goal he scored to make it 3-0. Hay Captain Stephen Jenkins was carried off and Llandod capitalised on this by scoring 2 quick goals but Hay held on to book a place in the next round.
