Weekend Fixtures.

Once again both sides are in action this weekend and this time both teams will be on their travels.

First up on Saturday Tom Weaver and Chris Preece take their side to face Knighton Town who sit proudly on top of the Spar Div 2 table.

Top scorer Kevin Jones misses out through injury, Steve Goodwin is still unavailable due to work, John Daw and Steve Jones drop out after helping out last weekend, five players who missed the Newbridge game are available, brothers Phil and Stu Davies, Rob Manamara, Stu Snedden and Jack Biggs bolster the squad.

Weaver is expecting a tough game, “Knighton are top and have made two more good signings in Johnny and Jason Samuel”, he also said “It was good to win at Newbridge after playing so bad, I hope that’s out of our system, I want more from the players than what was offered last weekend, I think this Saturdays game will show us where we are as a team”.

Then on Sunday morning Gareth Jenkins takes his table toppers to Treacle Celts in a game that on paper they should win, however, away games in the Sunday league are never easy.

Jenkins once again has had to ring the changes due to injuries and other commitments, 8 players from last Sundays team drop out.

Jenkins is pleased to welcome back veteran Nathan Morgan who will add plenty of experience to his squad.

Jenkins said ” Treacle Celts have been struggling but we will need to focus and hopefully the winning streak will continue”.
