SAINTS 7 RADNOR VALEY 0.

The Saints defeated Radnor by 7 goals yesterday in scorching weather.

It took 9 seconds for the Saints to go one up, from the kick off the ball was played to Rob Snedden who hit a cross field pass to the advancing Ben Bevan who smashed it past Simon Hamer in the Radnor goal. It was 2-0 on the 2 minute mark when Kevin Jones set up strike partner Josh Wisniewski for the second. Radnor battled well for most of the half keeeping the Saints chances to a minimum, Jones nearly scoring and Captain Chris Preece going close with a header. On the stroke of half-time Wisniewski made it 3-0 and a long way back for the away side.

Two more goals from striker Wisniewski took his tally to 4 for the game, his 4th goal being very impressive after tuning his marker and hitting a low shot into the bottom left corner past the diving Hamer. Kevin Jones scored a goal his link up play deserved after a long kick from brother Ian, Russell Jones got his first Saints goal of the season scoring past former team mate Hamer. More goals could have been added if it wasn’t for Hamer and some dogged defending from the Radnor team.

The game was over after the Saints blitzed the Radnor goal in the opening minutes. I thought the team played well with the back three all looking good on the ball, Kevin Jones stood out with his link up play and Josh Wisniewski did excellent in scoring four goals, my man of the match though goes to Phil Davies for a faultless display in defence and attack.

Team- I.Jones, J.Davies, M.Havard, P.Davies, B.Bevan, S.Powell, C.Preece(c)(S.Mayglothling), R.Jones(J.Daw), R.Snedden(G.Williams), K.Jones, J.Wisniewski.
