Many thanks to everyone who took part in the sponsored bike ride today and to all those who gave up their time to help out. I’ve posted all the photos on my facebook account and will also add some to the photos page on here. For those who didn’t take part Zac Snape won the first stage(Hay to Glasbury) winning the yellow boob tube to wear for the next stage. The Glasbury to Clyro stage was won by Chris Preece which he says was nothing to do with the fact that he hid Zacs bike while he was having a drink in the pub. The final stage was the toughest, Clyro to Hay(King of hills), Kevin Jones tried his best to win by grabbing onto my wing mirror as I drove past, that lasted about 5 seconds until he fell off, Phil Davies tried the same with Fil Wisniewskis car behind me only for the same result. Favourite Snape again had his bike stolen so had to use a bike whch was made about 1940, it was Chris Preece who won the last stage and the title of Tour De Hay-On-Wye champion 2008.
Everyone did well to finish considering the WAGS( Kate, Steph, Bish and Leah) were waiting around several corners with water bombs and buckets of water to throw at all the riders.
A fun day and good fund raiser for the club.
