The First Team beat Cymru Alliance side Rhayader Town FC 4-3 in tonight’s pre season friendly at Forest Road.
Jack Biggs missed an early penalty, the visitors then went 0-1 up. We responded just before half time, Matt James the scorer. Rhayader went 1-2 up in the 46th minute and then extended their lead five minutes later. Talisman Brendan Hackett came off the bench and we started moving the ball around quicker. Biggs scored two quick goals to level the score making it nine for him so far in pre season. Adi Lawford won the game with a header at the back post in the 82nd minute.
This was a good work out for both sides, I thought we looked fitter than them in the last 20 minutes and that’s why we won it.
