Builth Wells FC are through to the final of the ‘Hay Senior Challenge Cup’ after beating Ewyas Harold FC 3-2 after extra time.
Hot shot Dave Thomas scored a hat-trick to seal their place in the final.
Thomas put Builth 1-0 up in the first half only for ‘Harold’ to equalise from a Mark Avery penalty.
In a game where both sides had good spells it was Builth who went 2-1 up but with just a couple of minutes to go a good header at the back post saw the game go into extra time.

The first period ended without any goals but midway through the second period another good header this time from Thomas saw Builth reach the final.
3-2 aet.
Builth will play the winners of Hay St Mary’s FC v Orleton Colts FC on April 30th.
