The Saints continued their pre season programme with a convincing 2-1 over Spar 1 side Builth Wells.
The homeside led 1-0 at the break after a mistake at the back between Dave Exhall and Matty Croose which was pounced upon by Phil Davies who rolled the ball into an empty net. Further chances went begging the best one falling to Will Goodwin who went close at the back post. ht 1-0.
The second half saw several changes made by both sides, an impressive individual goal by youngster Lewis Pritchard made the score 2-0, Builth pulled a goal back when a through ball caught the Hay back four flat, their striker making no mistake from 12 yards.
Steve Goodwin hit the bar for the Saints late on and a double save by Exhall again prevented Goodwin and the rebound by Tom Wilkes from going in.
A good workout for both sides which the Saints deserved to win on the night.
