Weekend Preview.

The First team welcome Abermule FC to Forest Road on Saturday in what will be our fourth home game in a row. The two sides met a month ago after a long lay off through the wet weather, the Saints winning 1-4 with goals from Brendan Hackett(2), Kevin Jones and Rob McNamara.

Brendan Hackett who has netted 7 goals in his last 3 games returns after missing last weeks win.

We can expect a tough game after “Muler” were only the second team this season to beat run away league leaders Rhosgoch Rangers 1-0 last weekend.

In and outs, unavailable are Tom James, Phil Davies, Steve Goodwin and Sam Bradley. Returning after missing last week are Brendan Hackett, Jack Biggs, Rory Hackett, and Adam Finn.

The Sunday Saints travel to Hereford this weekend where they will play Belmont Wanders. The hosts have picked up lately and produced a few good results, they won 1-11 away last week, drew 2-2 with Toros away(Toros beat us last week) and probably their most impressive result albeit a 3-2 defeat against title favourites Commercial FC who they ran close on the day.

I know the gaffer has been pulling his hair out all week with players not being available but he seemed happier by the end of today with his squad plus he has made a top drawer signing who could be making his debut next weekend, the player in question in my opinion is the best defender in this area by a country mile!

The Sunday Saints have four tough away games left and need four more points to guarantee promotion.

More team news once it’s confirmed by Jenko.
